The Weekend and Mother's Day

Well last weekend we had so many coming to our garage sale telling us all the deals they got that mom and I decided that we would go garage saling this weekend. Twain was going to be working in Texas for the weekend so mom came to spend Saturday with us and spend the night Saturday night. We started out bright and early Saturday morning and got some great deals on toys and books. Here are the girls with their purses ready to go shopping. It was a little early for them so Braelyn looks half asleep!!!!!
Braelyn ready to head out

Bailey looks a little more excited

I am blessed to live so closely to mom and get to spend Mother's Day Weekend with her. If I am only half the mom she is then my kids will be lucky...
Here are some pictures from Sunday.

Our Weekend

We had a busy weekend. Friday evening and all day Saturday we had a garage sale. The weather stayed perfect and we did really well. The girls had a blast entertaining all the customers.

Trying to keep them contained!

On Sunday, we spent most of the day outside enjoying the warm weather. The girls are loving their water toys they got for their birthday. We finally got their pool blown up.

Crazy Week

We have had a crazy week doing some Spring Cleaning to have a garage sale this weekend. As most of you know, our house is up for sell so we are trying to clear out a lot of junk so we don't have to move it!!!! Braelyn and Bailey are growing so rapidly that I can't even keep up filming and taking pictures of all the little things they are starting to do. We are in the biting phase at our house. If any of you have some great suggestions THAT WORK - Please leave a comment and let me know. I feel like I have tried everything I can think of including biting back which kills me to do it but I quit because it didn't work anyway! Everyone have a great weekend!

Busy Weekend

We had a very busy weekend. The girls went to Dallas with my mom to Sam Moon and Sam's on Friday afternoon while I dug out garage sale stuff for next weekend. They then went home to spend the night with her while Twain and I got up in the attic and dug out more garage sale stuff Friday night. We got up Saturday morning and picked up the girls and drove to Texas to see Twain's parents, sister and her family. The girls love spending time with their cousins!! Saturday evening we went to a brisket dinner fundraiser for their volunteer fire department. The girls loved running around outside with their cousins. Sunday we spent playing outside with the Tyson, our Chinese Pug, and it was such great weather that we blew up the water beach ball the girls got from their Aunt Mary and Uncle Jay. Here are some pictures of Sunday afternoon!

Laugh for the Day

I have always wanted my children to be able to grow up around animals like I did. We had chickens, pigs, cows, horses, dogs, cats, and even an emu. I keep telling Twain that we need to move on some land so the girls can get a pony. I suppose until then they will just have to keep riding the vaccum. This is what I found them doing today in the kitchen.

Trip to Dallas

Twain had a conference in Dallas. Usually his conferences are not within driving distance so the girls and I decided to tag along on this trip. They haven't spent the night in a motel since they were little so this was a new experience for them. They had so much fun. We took them swimming for their first time so then they thought they should be able to get in any water they saw which led to a huge fit from Braelyn when I wouldn't let her get in the gold fish pond in the hotel lobby:) The conference hosts invited us to join them for a catered dinner that night even though we weren't part of the group. If you can imagine all these older researchers and college professors sipping on their tea and dining at a quiet meal and then their is our table with the two one year olds with chocolate cake all over their face!!!!

Braelyn and Bailey amaze me so much every day. They are starting to try to do what we do which sometimes is quite hilarious. They have learned to do the sound of the dog dogs and say "woof woof". They pick up our cell phones and put them to their ears like they are talking to someone. I was getting on to Bailey today and pointed my finger at her and Braelyn turned to her and pointed her two fingers at her. Each day is an adventure and I am thankful that we are blessed with both of them and I have the opportunity to stay home and experience all of the little things that they do. Here are a few pictures of our trip!

Easter Weekend

So my husband and I decided that we were in need of some rest and relaxation so we took advantage of the holiday on Friday and spent Thursday and Friday nights at Echo Canyon Manor bed and breakfast getting massages, eating great food, spending time in the hot tub, and sleeping ALOT! If you have never been there, you must go just to eat their food. It is amazing. My husband has traveled all over the world and eaten the best food there is and said that was the best dinner he has ever had. Friday night dinner was roased duck, filet mignon, and shrimp scampi! My mouth waters just thinking of it!

Saturday we headed back home to pick up the girls so we could spend Easter with them. We went to church and went and spend time with Grammy and Great Grandma Nan and Great Grandma Neenah and the entire families! We had a great time and the girls enjoyed all of the attention of course. Here are some pictures of Easter morning before we headed to church.
