Cyber Sale Part 2

I have already sold the crib and had it picked up and the rocking horse has been spoken for. Now, I need to sell my bed and nightstand and it would need to be picked up by Thursday if possible. It is a Queen Size Bed with footboard and headboard and wood all around the bottom with a matching night stand and a Spring Air mattress that is so comfortable that I did not want to get rid of it but we needed to upgrade to a King. I am asking $450 for all of it. Message me on facebook or email me at mistybutler@cableone.net if you are interested.

Cyber Sale

I have a couple of items for sale that I don't want to hang on to until my next garage sale!

we have two cribs..I am going to sell one and keep one. I do need to keep the mattress so it will just be the bed. It is solid wood and the mattress lowers lower than some beds that I have seen so you are able to use it as a crib longer. It is one that converts, however it has been discontinued now and would be really hard to find the conversion parts so you would just need to plan on using it as a crib only unless you just get lucky and can find the parts. It does have some scratches on it where they have bit the rails. We are asking $125 - I believe we paid around $399 new.

SOLD

Second, I am selling one of our rocking horses. These horses are really great, because they grow with you. It has a seat that attaches for the littles ones and then you can take it off as they grow. It also makes horse sounds when they ride. $50...Email me at mistybutler@cableone.net if you are interested.

Too much Energy

Since we are in the middle of winter, the girls have not been able to get outside and play. Not to mention the fact that we don't have any grass yet so anytime we get moisture our yard is a big mud puddle for weeks. Twain and I loaded up Braelyn and Bailey and took them to an indoor play place to let them get all that stored up energy out. They absolutely loved it! After an hour, I was having to help Bailey up the steps because she was worn out:) If I had wads of cash stored up, I would open one of these in our town.

More House Pictures

Here are a couple more house pictures.

Braelyn and Bailey's Princess Room.

The toyroom. This is still a work in progress. I have to get the Sesame Street Wall Paper Border put up and get some curtains and a clock, etc. but you get the idea anyway.

Frustrating!

So, Braelyn and Bailey are at that age when they do this every time I try to take their picture....

Bailey

Braelyn

It was funny the first two times, but after about the 1,000th it becomes a little bit more on the frustrating side. Oh well, I'm sure they get tired of being followed by papparazi (momma) all the time!

New Recipe

I love to try new recipes and am always looking for something that I can get Braelyn and Bailey to at least try and not spit back at me. I found this in my new kid favorite cookbook but really was a favorite for all of us. I love chicken pot pie but i never eat it because of all the fat and calories in it and am not really a fan of the crust so I gave this spin on it a try.

Smashed Potatoe Chicken Pot Pie

3 tbsp butter
1/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp seasoned pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1 14 oz can reduced sodium chicken broth
3/4 cup milk
2 cups frozen peas and carrots, thawed
2 cups frozen cut green beans, thawed
2 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken or turkey
1 20 oz package refrigerated mashed potatoes (about 2 2/3 cups)
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic, minced, or 1/2 tsp bottled minced garlic

In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, 1/4 tsp of the seasoned pepper; and the salt. Add chicken broth and milk all at once. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Stir in thawed raw vegetables and cooked chicken. Pour into an ungreased 3 quart rectangular baking dish.

In a medium bowl, combine mashed potatoes, cheese, garlic, and the remaining 1/4 tsp seasoned pepper. Using a spoon, drop potatoe mixture in large mounds over chicken mixture in baking dish.

Bake, uncovered in a 375 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until heated through. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Hope you enjoy!

House Pictures

Several people have asked me to share pictures of our new house. Well, I am finally getting around to doing that as I am slowly getting all the Christmas stuff put up and the house is looking more normal again:) Today I will share with you my favorite room of our new house, the kitchen. I will share one room at a time as I normally can only keep one room clean at a time with two toddlers full of energy spreading their toys all over the house! I hope to have a living room back to normal soon but with my grandma in the hospital, I have been spending my time there instead of putting up our Christmas Tree!!

My favorites from 2010

Since this is the first day of 2011, I thought I would share some of our 2010 purchases that we wonder now how we lived without!

First, is this little guy.

I have been wanting one for over a year but would never fork over the money to get a Dyson. Well, I wish I would have bought one a long time ago. They are definetely worth the money. And, it doesn't hurt that I got mine on Black Friday at 4AM Half Off! But, they are worth every penny of full price. I will never have anything different again.

Another purchase that I absolutely love is....

I have been admiring these beauties since they first came out. Well, if you know me, you know I'm CHEAP and if you know Twain, you know he is even CHEAPER. My current refrigerator had not fallen completely apart and therefore I would not be buying one anytime soon. Well, when we sold our house they asked that we leave ours. Our new house had stainless steel appliances so we needed to change anyway and it all worked out. I was inlove with it by the first day. The freezer drawers is what I absolutely could never live without again. I pack so much stuff in there it is unreal! If you are in the market, definetely go with the french door with the freezer on bottom and water and ice in the door. Perfect!

You are going to think I'm crazy on this last one. It truly is one of the best discoveries I made in 2010. I have tried every type of face product they make and everyone of them breaks out my face. I have bought hypoallergenic, sensitive skin, blah blah blah. They all break me out. That is, until I tried this bad boy.

I mash up an avocado and put it on my face like a mask and leave it for about 8 minutes. My skin has never been so smoothe and in the morning, NO BREAK OUTS!

What were some of your purchases/discoveries in 2010?

You'll be Jealous!

You will be so jealous, because in March I'm going to be front row seeing this cute guy!

Drum Roll Please...............

One of Braelyn and Bailey's favorite characters right now is Elmo so Mom and I are taking them to see him. I have to admit, I'm a little excited myself. I still remember when my mom and dad took me to see Sesame Street Live when I was about four years old. Memories!

Looking Back

As the holidays are ending, I find myself looking back two years and extremely blessed I am to have Braelyn and Bailey in my life. I don't even remember my life before stretchmarks and fatigue!! I wouldn't go back to it for anything either.

I remember being in the oprating room like it was yesterday. Full of anxiety that they would be okay coming five weeks early. Braelyn was born first and within seconds, I heard her cry and knew she was alright. Then there was Bailey. I will never forget what I said when the nurse walked by and showed me Bailey. I said, " she is so tiny!" I had never even seen a baby so short!!!
Braelyn weighed four pounds, 7 ounces and Bailey weighed four pounds. They were both 17" long. Back then our lives were full of round the clock feedings, checking body temperature, making sure they both always had two blankets wrapped around them and a hat on so they didn't lose body temperature. We couldn't leave the house for two months! I remember dreaming about the day I could just hold them and not all these blankets on them too!

And now, 21 months and 22 pounds later, our days are filled with trying to decide if we are going to play in the playhouse or with the kitchen and watching Dora, Spongebob, and Mickey Mouse. One of their favorite places to go is gymnastics.

It is days like this when I reminisce through photos that I long to have another baby. Oh how I wish I could have the experience again of seeing the first sonogram or the doctor telling you for the first time if your baby is a boy or girl. But I know when we adopt, the feeling will be just the same and we will love he/she the same as we do the girls. I thank God every day that we are all healthy, happy, and ready for what 2011 will bring us!
